Ryan's surf music!

Surf Music is a truly unique style of music. Born in the late 50's and early 60's on the beaches of Southern California, Surf Music has become a classic icon representing the culture of surfing world wide. Surf music can be divided into two categories: vocal and instrumental. The vocal groups, like The Beach Boys and Jan & Dean used harmonic vocals, and leaned more towards the mainstream pop-rock style of music. The instrumental groups however, consisted of one or two guitar players, a bass player, and a drummer. Some instrumental groups also used additional instruments such as keyboards, saxophones, and horns. Below are some of the most prominent surf groups of all time.
